Trincomalee is a charming town with white beaches, clear blue waters and Pigeon Island is one of the six islands in the city. There are no inhabitants living but Pigeon Island National Park is one of the two marine national parks in Sri Lanka. If you are planning a holiday and looking for a place to stay, do get in touch as we’d be happy to plan your island adventure by the northern coastlines.
Trincomalee also known as ‘Trinco’ to most locals, sits on one the world’s finest natural harbours. Most people just pass through the city on their way to the nearby beaches of Uppuveli and Nilaveli, but the town has some charm, & plenty of history to explore!
For those looking for a perfect holiday destination plus a place to get the best tan! Sri Lanka’s Northern coast has got you covered!
As a local island girl, Trincomalee holds my fondest childhood memories as every summer break my family and I used to drive up north to relax and snorkel by the turquoise blue waters and get mesmerized by the vibrant plus psychedelic fish we never knew even existed!
Hence, to keep to tradition, we decided to take a spontaneous trip to Trincomalee once again, but to explore not one but different types of beaches around the area. One would think they’re all the same, however, not quite exactly!
Hence, if you’re hoping to visit Sri Lanka on your next holiday, be sure to include Trincomalee on your list of destinations as it’s quite a spectacular as well as unique part of the island!
